complementary exhibition to the
RSIS conference, in the framework of
the ICD4D Platform
The ICD4D at WSIS
The
Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation and
the Global Knowledge Partnership are organizing
in Palexpo during the WSIS an exhibition and a
series of events collectively called the
ICT4Developement
platform
(ICT4D).
What is the SIS Forum
-
CERN together with RSIS Conference partners is
organizing in the ICT4D framework, an exhibition
called
Science and Information Society Forum.
-
The
Science and Information Society Forum
will take place on a 85m2 stand in
the ICT4D exhibition area. It will consist of
digitized-only demonstrations and presentations
of projects and activities, to support the thesis
that
Science is a key contributor to the development of the information
society.
-
The stand will be physically organized in
five distinct thematic areas provided with
standard computing and presentation equipment.
The thematic
areas will reflect the five domains of society addressed at the RSIS
conference:
Health, Education, Environment, Development,
Enabling Technologies.
Call for Content
CERN and its
partners are inviting the scientific community
to propose demonstrations and presentations for
the SIS Forum. A program will be drawn up where
selected projects will be invited to present
or demonstrate their activity. See the
